Old Tractors
Preserving a Part of History...
Welcome to my Old Tractor pages.  Here you will find progress reports on my project tractors, as well as accounts of searching for old iron and parts and also pictures of various tractors I run into from time to time.

I don't live on a farm, but have been surrounded by them all my life.  I've always been fascinated with agricultural equipment.

My grandpa and I hauling a LARGE load of saw bolts out to Gramps' sawmill with his late styled John Deere Model B
I blame my grandfathers for my feverish interest in antique tractors.  One, a semi-retired minister, uses his tractors as workhorses around his tree farm.  The other (my step-grandpa) is a retired farmer and has restored two John Deere tractors.

Grandpa Jerry's 1939 styled John Deere Model AW.
Grandpa Morrie's 1936 unstyled John Deere Model B before restoration
As you can see, John Deere tractors are my main focus at this point.  Both of my grandpa's farmed with JD Green; I, however, grew up idolizing Allis-Chalmers.  My home town area has been Allis Country for some time, and even though the original AC is no longer with us, several Persian Orange tractors still dot the fields, with Gleaners gathering in the grain.
